A Mom's StoryAshlie Bailey is a mom from East Texas in search of her missing children. Her maiden name was Ashlie Adkins. She is a child trafficking and ritualistic abuse survivor. In 2010, Ashlie dedicated her life to the fight against trafficking. She is a recipient of the Granting Courage Scholarship from The United States Immigration Customs Enforcement Foundation with nearly ten years experience working in the Anti-Trafficking Ministry.
In 2018, Ashlie’s aunt Michelle Hoover started "The Henry, Leroy, Oscar Call Your Mom! Campaign" to locate her missing sons Henry, Leroy, and Oscar. Now, Ashlie Bailey and her team are also campaigning to find her missing children Joshua, David, Joseph, Hope, and Grace. It is called "The Finding Hope Project" |

(No wedding occurred on that date.) |
Originally, Ashlie grew up in the LDS Church and was trafficked by members of her own family. Shortly after Ashlie was born, she was chosen by a Leader in the Mormon Church and was promised to him. In the summer of December 1999, Ashlie became pregnant with her son Joshua and was forced to keep the pregnancy a secret. By the time Ashlie was in foster care and a junior in high school, she was living with a Mormon Bishop and his wife, the same man Ashlie was promised to years earlier.
At the age of sixteen, Ashlie was forced to enter into a secret marriage covenant with the Bishop and his other wives. The Bishop was over sixty years old at the time. In June 2004, her sons David and Joseph were born. For years, this young mother was led by the Mormon Church to believe that all of her children were no longer alive.
Months after the birth of David and Joseph, Ashlie was introduced to Christianity. Early in the morning on January 18, 2005, she read John 3:16. The words "ONLY begotten son" jumped off the page. She realized that if Jesus was the only son of God, then the teachings of the Mormon Church must be false.
She also realized that to receive salvation, she must believe that Jesus is the one and only Son of God. The very instant She realized this, He was there in a more real way than she had ever known before. That morning, Ashlie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and told her foster parents she had been saved. |
Later that day, Ashlie was taken to a hospital where her daughter Hope was born. Once Again, this mother was led to believe her child did not survive. After her daughter Hope was gone, Ashlie was abandoned by her Mormon foster family at the hospital where Hope had been born. Months before Ashlie turned eighteen and aged out of the foster care system, she was used as a breeder again. Over Christmas 2005, she was taken to another state where her fifth child Grace was born. This mom did not know if her child lived.
Ashlie now believes her children survived and were adoption trafficked into the Mormon foster care system. Even though it was heartbreaking, being persecuted for her new faith, abandoned and forced to leave her hometown was a total blessing, and possibly one of the greatest gifts ever. The same day that Ashlie received the gift of salvation and freedom in Christ, she also received the gift of her daughter Hope. All these years later, Ashlie is trying to find her missing children. Joshua
(May have been born in August or September 2000 at Longview Regional Medical Center)
Joshua was most likely born at Longview Regional Medical Center during the end of summer vacation in late August, or early September 2000 just after my seventh grade year at Pine Tree ISD in Longview, Texas. He may have been given a different legal name and most likely disappeared into the Mormon foster care system. His original last name may have been Adkins. It is possible he grew up in a Mormon family near Longview, Texas, Provo, or Salt Lake City, Utah.
David & Joseph
(Twins born June 2004 in Alaska, or British Columbia, Canada)
David and Joseph may have been given different legal names. Their original last names may have been Johnston, Hoover, or Adkins. They were born on an Alaskan cruise in June 2004 aboard the Princess ship named The Sapphire, or The Diamond. (Note: There were originally a set of twin Princess cruise ships built at the same period of time named The Diamond and The Sapphire. Later on, their names were switched.) The ship departed from Seattle, Washington and sailed up the West Coast. It disembarked at several ports in Canada, and Alaska where the twins were most likely taken off of the ship by an older man. The ports where The Sapphire, or Diamond disembarked included Victoria, British Colombia, Canada, Glacier National Park, Alaska, Juneau, Alaska, and Seattle, Washington.
Hope
(Born January 18, 2005, at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas)
Hope was born during my senior year at Spring Hill High School. She was given a different legal name. Her original last name may have been Johnston or Adkins. She is the daughter of a former Mormon Bishop, and most likely disappeared into the Mormon foster care system shortly after her birth. She may currently be living with a Mormon family in Longview, Texas.
Grace
(Born on Christmas week December 2005 near Calvin, Oklahoma)
She may currently have a different legal name. Her original last name may have been Mckee or Adkins. She was born most likely near Calvin, Atwood, or Antler, Oklahoma and is believed to have been adoption trafficked into a large family. She is most likely now living in another state possibly with a Mormon family.
